  • HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA: The high school diploma program is a self-paced program.  An adult must earn 24 units to qualify for a high school diploma.  Previously earned units will transfer to adult education and count toward the 24 units needed for graduation.  Students may attend classes 6:00-9:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday at Dillon High School.

  • GED:  The GED program provides an opportunity for adults who have not completed the requirements for a high school diploma to obtain a high school credential.  The General Education Development test (GED) is nationally recognized and covers competencies in reading, math, science, social studies, and writing.  GED Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Adult Education Office in Dillon.

  • SELF-IMPROVEMENT:  Many adults have their high school diploma or GED but need to brush up on basic math, English, writing, or reading skills.  The self-improvement program is designed to help adults brush up on forgotten skills.  It is self-paced with instructors available whenever help is needed. Classes are held Monday - Thursday 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Dillon High School and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Adult Education from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM.

  • BASIC EDUCATION: Classes in basic education provide instruction in reading, writing, math, and life skills.  This program is designed for adults who left the school system early.  Classes are held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at Dillon High School 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.

  • LITERACY/ADULT READING PROGRAM: Free program - materials are furnished, one on one tutoring in reading for adults, volunteer tutors with special training.  Tutoring at locations and times mutually convenient for tutors and students.

  • WORKKEYS: Testing and classes are offered for those wishing to acquire Workkeys certification with employability being the ultimate goal. Registration is done at the Adult Education Office.

  • ESL CLASSES: Classes are offered for those who have limited English-speaking ability. Classes are held at the Adult Education Office on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:00 AM-11:00 AM
