The mission of East Elementary School is to develop responsible, life-long learners by providing a nurturing environment where the school and community work together to ensure success.

Our Vision

The vision at East Elementary School is to live in a happy, caring and stimulating environment where children always recognize and achieve their fullest potential, so that they can make their best contribution to society.

Performance Goals 2010-2015

Performance Goal 1:

The percentage of our students in 3rd grade who score Exemplary and Met in English Language Arts as measured by PASS will increase from _77 % in 2009 (baseline) to _100__% in 2015.

Interim Goal 1: The percentage of our 3rd grade students who score Exemplary and Met in English Language Arts as measured by PASS will increase from _78.4_% in 2010 to _85__% in 2011.
Performance Goal 2:

The percentage of our students in 3rd grade who score Exemplary and Met in Math as measured by PASS will increase from _74_% in 2009 (baseline) to __100_% in 2015.

Interim Goal 2: The percentage of our 3rd grade students who score Exemplary or Met in Math as measured by PASS will increase from _70.5_% in 2010 to __84_% in 2011.
Performance Goal 3:

The percentage of our students in 3rd grade who score Exemplary and Met in Science as measured by PASS will increase from _47__% in 2009 (baseline) to __100_% in 2015.

Interim Goal 3: The percentage of our students in 3rd grade who score Exemplary and Met in Science as measured by PASS will increase from _42.6__% in 2010 (baseline) to _67_% in 2011.
Performance Goal 4:

The percentage of our students in 3rd grade who score Exemplary and Met in Social Studies as measured by PASS will increase from _77_% in 2009 (baseline) to __100_% in 2015.

Interim Goal 4: The percentage of our 3rd grade students who score Exemplary and Met in Social Studies as measured by PASS will increase from __62_% in 2010 to _86_% in 2011.
Performance Goal 5:

By improving overall school/family/community relations, the number of family members who attend parent conference nights, PTO meetings, parenting workshops, open houses, and orientations will increase 20 % by the year 2015.

Interim Goal 5: By improving overall school/family/community relations, the number of family members who attend parent conference nights, PTO meetings, parenting workshops, open houses, and orientations will increase 3 % by 2011.
Performance Goal 6:

The percentage of all core academic subject area classes taught by highly qualified teachers as defined by NCLB will increase from 100% in 2010 (baseline) to 100% by the end of 2015 school year.

Interim Goal 6:

The percentage of all core academic subject area classes taught by highly qualified teachers as defined by NCLB will increase from 100% in 2011 to 100% by the end of 2012 school year.

Performance Goal 7:

The percentage of teachers receiving high quality, scientifically based professional development will reach 100% in 2010 (baseline) and will be maintained 100% through 2015.

Interim Goal 7: The percentage of teachers receiving high quality, scientifically based professional development will reach 100% in 2011 and will be maintained 100% in 2012.
Performance Goal 8:

The percentage of principals receiving a rating of proficient or exemplary as measured by the Program for Assisting, Developing, and Evaluating Principal Performance will reach 100% in 2010 (baseline) and will be maintained 100% through 2015.

Interim Goal 8:

The percentage of principals receiving a rating of proficient or exemplary as measured by the Program for Assisting, Developing, and Evaluating Principal Performance will reach 100% in 2011 and will be maintained 100% in 2012.
