Dear Parents,

First, let me thank you for your patience and support during the unexpected COVID-19 crisis. I am very pleased and proud of the way our Stewart Heights’ students, parents, employees, and community leaders dealt with the demands we face to protect everyone as we continue to educate and feed our students. While we are in the business of educating, our first priority is the safety of our students and our employees. Our goal, as always, is to create a safe and student centered environment that is focused on students growing socially and academically.

Our school year has started with providing the students two options of learning during this unprecedented time of COVID-19. Parents have opted to have their students in all virtual classrooms or a hybrid model which includes face to face school attendance two days a week with virtual learning on the remaining days. We are trying our best to accommodate the needs and concerns of all students and parents during this time, however, due to space and CDC guidelines we will have to apply certain restrictions in how many students may attend in person classes. We also have to ensure that all visitors wear a mask and have their temperature taken upon arrival. Only Dillon District Four employees are allowed past the front foyer. All employees and students will be wearing masks, have temperatures taken, and practicing social distancing while on campus. Breakfast and lunch will be eaten in the classrooms.

As guidelines change due to the pandemic, we will keep you informed of any changes that may occur to school attendance and instructional delivery. Please stay informed by visiting the Dillon School District Four’s webpage and local news. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the safeguards or instruction that we have in place, please feel free to contact the school at 843-774-1219.

Thank you again,

Dr. Wendy S. Cook
