Mission Statement: It is the mission of the Stewart Heights Elementary School's Library Media Center to assist members of the learning community in becoming effective users of information and to foster the love of reading.

Goal: To provide a school library media program that is fully integrated into the curriculum and that has a positive impact on student achievement.

e-Learning Resources: 

-South Carolina Family Literacy Calendar: - Has songs, videos, digital books, and articles on a new topic each day to explore with your child.

-DISCUS (BrainPop Jr., Britannica Encyclopedia, Tumblebooks, etc.: - Can be found on the Dillon District 4 website. Go to students on the homepage. Click DISCUS. Click A-Z List and scroll through a variety of online resources for your child. 

-Story Time From Space: - A good story sounds even better when it's read in space. Listen to astronauts read books while in space!

-Kate Messner: - The author Kate Messner has compiled a large list of videos of authors reading their work or providing learning and activities for children.

-Storyline Online: - Enjoy famous celebrities read aloud popular children books! - This is a helpful website that can help parents and students if there are questions about assignments or just if you need help about a specific topic. It is free on DISCUS until June 2020.

Unite for Literacy: - Read online with Unite for Literacy. Select a digital book from the shelf and read it to yourself or listen to the book online.
