Dillon Elementary is a Title I Schoolwide site. The school receives Federal funds to improve academic achievement in reading and math for all students. A Title I Plan is written yearly by the Title I Advisory Board with input from teachers, community members and parents. The plan consists of a needs assessment, goals and activities that outline how Federal funds will be dispersed. Funds are used to reduce class size by providing additional teacher salaries, to enhance parent programs, to provide staff development, to provide reading interventionists and to provide supplies and materials to enhance the instructional programs at the school. A copy of the Dillon Elementary Title I plan is available for review. Copies are located in the main office and the school library.
The Dillon District Four's Title I Plan is available at the Dillon School District Four Student Service's office.

Comments and Suggestions
Parent involvement is important to the planning of the schoolwide plan. Needs Assessment surveys are sent to all parents in February each year to get parents suggestions and comments related to the Title I plan. Responses are submitted to the Title I Advisory Board and School Improvement Council. Parents may make suggestions at any time during the school year by contacting Mrs. Jan Powers-Penuel or Alison Huggins. Any suggestions are addressed by the principal, Title I Advisory Board and/or the School Improvement Council. Parents may contact the school at 843-774-1210.
Parent Nights
Sponsored by Title I, parent nights are planned at Dillon Elementary School for the 2024-2025 school year. At each of these event’s information on Title I, academic content standards, testing, and reading programs are presented to parents in attendance. Student academic presentations, as well as student performances will be featured. Guest speakers will conduct presentations at some of the meetings. Additionally, parents may visit classrooms and speak with teachers.
