Mr. Rodney Cook, Principal Beta Club Inductees

The Dillon Middle School Jr. Beta Club held its annual induction ceremony at the Dillon District Four Performing Arts Center on December 02, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. The DMS chapter of the Junior Beta Club inducted thirty-nine new members during the ceremony.

DMS school principal, Rodney Cook, began the ceremony by welcoming those in attendance to the special event.  Mrs. Hart explained that the Jr. Beta Club is a service organization for middle school students that promotes academic excellence, character, service, and leadership.  She provided a brief explanation of the requirements for being in the Jr. Beta Club.  Mrs. Allison recognized each student as he/she walked across the stage.  Mrs. Hart administered the Jr. Beta Pledge while the students repeated.  Current Jr. Beta Club members Zacchariah Aaron, Alyssa Allen, Ethan Bakazan, and Makenna Meekins led the lighting of the candles. They explained what each candle meant while Mrs. Lara lit the candles. Mrs. Hart presented the DMS administrators, Mr. Cook, Dr. Jackson, and Mrs. McCollum, with an award from the National Beta Club stating that Dillon Middle School is a School of Merit. After the students were officially inducted, the DMS chorus performed two songs to close out the ceremony.

The DMS chapter of the Jr. Beta Club is proud to induct these new members and look forward to the contributions they will make to our club, school, and community.

Congratulations to all the new members.  We are extremely proud of your academic accomplishment!
