Dillon District Four understands that schools can be impacted by natural disasters, accidents, or other unexpected emergencies, and recognizes how serious these situations can be. To ensure the safety of our students and staff, the District’s Safety Team has thoroughly researched best practices in school safety and developed a comprehensive Safety Plan to guide our response to emergencies.

This plan outlines clear steps for preparation, immediate response, and follow-up after a crisis, addressing a wide range of potential situations. Each school’s crisis team has customized the plan to meet the unique needs of its campus. The District also regularly reviews and updates the Safety Plan, while providing ongoing training to staff to keep everyone informed and prepared.
