Letter from the Administration

Dear WWG Students, Parents, and Community Members:
Welcome Back to School! I am so excited to welcome you back to school. It is truly an honor for me to be the NEW principal of Lake View Elementary School. I am so privileged to work with an outstanding faculty and staff to help make it a smooth transition back to in-person learning for our students during this uncertain time. The first day of full face-to-face on campus instruction is full of so many emotions. We greatly appreciate your patience as we work through new protocols and find our groove with procedures and routines.
We have been working hard all summer to plan for a safe opening of school and to implement best practices to mitigate the risks associated with COVID-19. It is our priority to run things as normal as possible, and ensure our students feel safe and comfortable at school. Due to district health and safety guidelines, parents and visitors will not be allowed to walk students to class or enter any buildings. We will all be ready to greet your students and direct them to where they are supposed to go.
COVID-19 Safety Information and Important Information to Know:
We will continue to implement the following preventative measures to protect our health:
- Temperature checks upon arrival -- Morning Drop-off 7:30 am
- Provide face masks upon request (We recommend face coverings!)
- Provide handwashing stations and hand sanitizer throughout the school
- Maintain social distancing
- Clean frequently touched surfaces in the classrooms and throughout the school building often and at the end of the day
- Spray disinfectant throughout the school in the evenings
There will be more information sent home with students during the first week of school. So please remember to check book-bags and folders for signed papers daily. Two-way Communication is so important for us to maintain accurate records and provide the service our students need to be successful.
Again, it is my pleasure to serve as the Principal of the Lake View Elementary School – Home of the Wee Wild Gators. It is truly a privilege to be a part of the WWG community where community members, parents, teachers, and students feel like a family and strive to build positive relationships that support the A Positive System – Positive Attitude, Positive Attendance, Positive Academics, and Positive Activities. It is our #1 Goal to give every student the necessary tools that will promote and support student academic and social growth. Please feel free to contact me at (843) 759-3003 or [email protected].
